March 25 2025, 8:00 AM Pacific Resolved: As of late last night, the underlying carrier completed corrective actions to address the issue impacting inbound fax success rates on the faxportal.faxsipit.com system. Since then, our team has been actively monitoring the system and can confirm that the provider’s decision to revert recent changes has successfully resolved the problem. Inbound fax traffic has stabilized and is now performing as expected.
We appreciate your patience as we worked closely with the carrier to identify the root cause and implement mitigation steps.
Thank you for your understanding.
3:30 PM Pacific Update: The underlying carrier has identified the root cause of the issue and is taking corrective measures that are expected to be completed overnight.
12:45 PM Pacific Update: Our team has applied routing changes that we do see improving inbound success rates. They are continuing to work with the underlying carrier to correct the root cause as well as look for additional route management we can implement to provide further mitigation in the mean time.
Our engineers have become aware of some altered traffic patterns that are impacting inbound fax success rates on the faxportal.faxsipit.com system. Inbound faxes are being received but we are seeing that multiple call attempts may be needed by remote senders to successfully transmit an inbound fax to our network. Our investigations have found this is happening on inbound routes with one of our major carriers after an upgrade was implemented on their equipment. Our team is working with the underlying carrier to understand and correct the root cause. In parallel they are working to provide mitigation as soon as possible. We apologize for the trouble and will provide updates as soon as they become available.
